Hello, today is Friday, November 7th, 2008. This is Jared speaking. Today I'd like to talk to you about Barack Obama, um, the President-Elect. The first African-American president, which me, as an African-American male...um it makes me really proud. It makes me proud of my nation, it makes me proud of all the republicans who voted democrat, it makes me proud of all the white people who voted for a black man, and it just makes me proud to be an American 'cause this is just... a mind-blowing event. It's..It makes me ecstatic. I can hardly find the words to express the joy that I feel, the hope for the future, the fact that the oldest kind of discrimination, which is skin-color prejudice, has finally died. I actually wanna go back home now. I mean, of course, I wanna live in Japan for the rest of my life--forever--but now I'd actually want a house in America too, you know. I'd wanna actually go home and...and um, capitalize on all the health-insurance benefits. Maybe, you know, I could have a family, have some children and not worry about financial things. So, pretty ecstatic.
